In der Weihnachtsbäckerei for Scrap FX

Welcome!

It's christmas time that means  illuminations and fir trees, Christmas cookies and traditional crafts. Our kids love to bake cookies, even if there is an absolute chaos in the kitchen, it makes every year a great fun again.

They loves secretly nibbling at the cookie dough, cutting
out stars and hearts themselves and decorating them with a lot of sugar pearls.

Shadowbox Winter forest

Hello friends!

today a little inspiration for a christmas home decoration.
Winter has begun, Christmas is just around the corner .

I want to share this winter shadow box here

ATC for SASPC

Welcome friends!

December is beginning and I want to share with you a new inspiration for
Christmas is knocking on your door, the right time to send some love greetings!

firstly I have used one of my favorite colors from DecoArt
Americana Decor Chalky Finish 'Vintage'
next I worked with the stencil 'Pixelated' and white gesso also from DecoArt
to add some texture to the background I used some little chipboards,
stars and metal embellishments and deco sand

I'm a big fan of all the beautiful distress inks and 'Walnut stain' is my absolutely favorit,
because it created a weathered look on all your projects,
so it's always very suitable for an industrial grunge look

Sending you Love and Joy!

Winterwonderland for Maja Designs

Welcome!
Today an 'Out off the page' project in vintage style, it's a triptych with wintry feeling.
As I saw the wonderful new collection papers 'Joyous winterdays' I was inspired to create a new home decor project for christmas as little gift for a good friend.

other uses materials
modelling clay white, Snow tex (DecoArt), Silikon mould 'Icecycle', Distress ink 'Walnut stain', clear stamp 'Crackle', chipboards (Scrap FX), cutting dies, Resin treasure window

How I made this

  • I choose background paper 'Frost' and cut out all three MDF pieces
  • then I glued the paper with Decoupage Glue (DecoArt) on it
  • I connected the three pieces and used the paper distresser tool for the edges, it gives an beautiful altered effect
  • then i chose two motives from this new amazing Christmas/ Wintercollection and cut out - the sweet snowmen and little boy

  • icecycles were made with white modeling clay and a mould
  • to complete the background, I added Distress Ink 'Walnut stain' with a little bit water for some running effects, it will give you a worned altered look
  • I used the 'Blizzard' paper, textured paper (leftovers from a wallpaper) and a craft paper for cutting dies - trees, lantern, winter leaves and snowflakes
  • glued all also embellishments with a transparent adhesive medium
  • create the snow effect with Snow tex (DecoArt)

This project was so much fun to create and I love the scene that you can build up, using all the beautiful background papers from Maja Design.
And if you wonder why the little boy is suddenly blue now, even though he is on the original green, it was very cold in the snow ;-) ... ?
yes, you can change the color of these papers later, for example with alcohol markers :-)

 If you want more inspirations
than have a look on our Maja DT Blog
and you can find a lot of wonderful projects from my teamies :-)

Many thanks for your visit!
Enjoy your weekend!

I use the Chevron stencil as background with with gesso. Have you seen the Transparencies from Scrap FX always very suitable for every layout theme.

You know I also love this wonderful black silhouettes, very filigree and always a good contrast
in your background.
Usually I cut these silhouettes into several pieces.

Christmas cards

Hello my friends!

I'm always impressed when I see all the wonderful handmade christmas cards in craftyland, gorgeous!!
In the meantime, I know some people who are looking forward to a self-made card, so I dare to approach the card theme.  Anyone who knows me knows that I always do things a little bit differently. These were the thoughts behind this christmas cards.
.

I used an embossing folder from Sizzix Tim Holtz 'Holiday print', Distress 'Walnut ink' and some cutting dies and christmas embellishments. At first, it's nothing unusual
but I was in love with this Halloween witch and this time is over,
but with witchcraft it's now a fairy godmother :-)

The broom became a magic wand and with texture paper und stickles it's now a
winter fairy :-)

Let your imagination run free !
Happy crafting!
