Seahorse family - Tutorial

Hi everyone,

many of you have expressed a desire to see on my crafty table
This is of course impossible, pure chaos, I must tell you ;-)
But joking aside,
today I will show you, how I made my seahorses

 Supplies:

1. draw a seahorse on cardboard, use a free clipart for example:

 2. cut out
(unfortunately I don't know a company that produced this, but a good idea in MDf, or ;-))
3. use leftovers from scrapbookpaper or other, embossed it with a folder
4. glue it on front side
5. reverse this and cut off the excess paper
6.  use stamps and
smeared the gaps and edges of the paper with gesso and palette knife

use embellishments or shells or dies or all what you can find on the beach
and give it in the yet moist Gesso

finally I used Metallic Lustre for accents on the surface
that's all my friends
and I have a lot of fun with this sweeties in our bathroom :-)

I hope that was a little help for you!
The steampunk version coming soon :-)!!!
exactly tomorrow you will see the black sheep of the family ;-)
but it's my absolutly favourit

Have a nice weekend friends

Seahorse Time - Little Sweetie :-)

Hi everyone,
a new member in my little seahorse family;-).
The rest are so far seen only on Facebook, but be presented here soon
and by popular demand even with a tutorial !!

I tried my new DecoArt acrylic fluids and was very excited about their fertility and pigmentation.
Although it takes very little, the colors have a beautiful luminosity
yet act not intrusive since they have a pleasant matte luster

The result is a clock that displays the time to relax.
Typical of me, of course, again with a steampunk twist,
sometimes it does not go without ;-)!
my new achievements of DecoArt many, many thanks !!!!
in combination with  few products of the company Prima Marketing Inc

meine neuen zum Einsatz gebrachten Errungenschaften von

July/ August Summer Challenge - Steampunk Tic Tac Toe

Hi again,
May I introduce
Captain Nemo and his fascinating under waterworld

and our new theme for the summer challenge at Sandee&Amelies Steampunk Ch.

you can choice this elements in horizontal, vertical and diagonal line
I have choice the first vertical line Words/ Stencils/ The Deep Sea

I'm always fascinating from this red fire fishes (here Antennen - Feuerfisch)
my Oskar ;-) is a little bit abstract drawn, but he has big silver eyes ,
which see in the wide world
the environment was colored with distress ink - mustard seed, fired brick
on a background ( before worked with white gesso)

Captain Nemo and the eye are stamps from La Blanche
(one of our sponsors in this summer challenge :-))

I worked on foil for a better contrast, the frame is aluminium foil, used a gear die and then embossed.

I used a coral stamp with Staz on Black stamped in white Gesso to create structures
before you must the gesso a little bit blow dry

this technique, where you can designed a new steampunk stamp
- Two becomes one new -
with effect ;-)
