In the Harz mountains, there is a longstanding tradition, which dates back to the time of the Teutons.Welcomes the spring with a dance into may with a big witches fire

 to expel the evil spirits.

Originally the witches came together with the devil on the highest peak in the montains Harz,

the Brocken, to celebrate and report about their sins.

Hier im Harz gibt es eine langjährige Traditionen, die noch aus der Zeit der Germanen stammt. In der Nacht zum 1. Mai wird der Frühling mit dem Tanz in den Mai begrüßt.

Dazu wird ein großes Hexenfeuer entfacht, das den Winter und die bösen Geister vertreiben soll.

Ursprünglich haben sich die Hexen zusammen mit dem Teufel an der höchsten Erhebung hierzulande, dem Brocken, eingefunden, um ein großes Fest zu feiern und über ihre Schandtaten zu berichten.

Ich hatte unheimlich viel Spaß und Freude beim Werkeln und Experimentieren und kann jedem nur raten, es einmal selbst auszuprobieren, bestimmt kommen euch dabei unendlich viele neue Ideen, was man noch so alles damit anstellen kann

I had so much fun and joy when puttering and experimenting and can only advise everybody to try it yourself, determined infinitely many new ideas, what can you do with this embelli's

...Raise the Curtains!

our new theme at Sandees&Amelies Steampunk Challenge 

This month we challenge you to create Steampunk projects in which curtains play the main role.
As usual our challenges are "anything goes" ones - as long as your projects show some Steampunk (or are at least vintage themed with a hint of Steampunk) and as long as they stick to the challenge theme (and the few challenge rules of course).
In this case your project can be anything that has to do with curtains (maybe being raised or pulled aside, revealing....well, whatever you can think of). I am sure you will once again surprise us all with your marvellous and imaginative projects!

From an old wood frame to a new idea with 3D effect for our home decoration.

Once upon a Springtime

An old book had to again believe, honestly, when I first started to work with old books,

 that was not so easy. I was raised even so, to appreciate and cherished the books,

 pages out to tear came not at all in question. 

It has cost me overcome, but now I've can  recognized the old dusty mottled books back to glory.
