Heartbreaker

the time was right for a new layout, finally, there are other things besides the Art journaling ;-)
It was Valentine's Day and I did my best piece almost forgot, no I cannot, of course, but it was once again time to show our sunshine. 

 It is a Sheltie named Filou, which makes its name and sometimes a little rascal!

Haus am See

Hi scrappy friends,

To dream - A little piece of paradise - together with the wonderful moodboard from Dusty attic - that was just the right theme for me in this difficult time.

A new layout with a beautiful winter dream photo, it exudes tranquility and peacefulness. 

made simple and fast, but a wonderful relaxation for the soul!

 

 Up in the mountains where the nature is strong, 

the time seems to stand still and the stillness and space around you creates stillness and space within you.

Unfinished - Behind the mask

Welcome steampunky friends,

toda a new challenge inspiration for this month at SanDee & Amelie's Steampunk Challenge  

 -Unfinished-

 I would like to encourage you to leave some areas/parts of your creations unfinished or have them look unfinished! It should definitely not just look as if you had forgotten to finish your project off with some spots, but the unfinished (but maybe already primed or half treated) part should build a dynamic contrast or in any other way an important part of your project's composition or concept.

I am pretty sure there are a lot more ways I haven't yet thought of to interpret this challenge - so be daring and surprise me (as you mostly always do with all the fab projects you enter ;) and maybe yourselves as well!

                                                           

It's carnival season and i love this fantastic mask from Venice.

                                           on the left side you can see the unfinished version

I recycled an old carnival mask
initially painted over with black gesso 

 and then covered with a few charms, brads and punched gears
the silver accents created with silver acrylic paint

The Secret Garden

Welcome friends,

Valentine's Day - für mich, nicht nur der romantische Tag für Verliebte, 

sondern auch der Tag, um guten Freunden 

einmal Dankeschön und 

Sooo schön, das es euch gibt 

 zu sagen!!

 Valentines Day - for me, not just the romantic day for lovers,
but also the day to good friends
to say Thank you  and
Sooo wonderful, that you exist!!

Aber da ich bekannterweise nicht der Freund von großen Worten und großen Reden schwingen bin,

gibt es lieber wieder etwas Neues von mir zu sehen.

Da Mr. Art Journal immer noch meine große Liebe ist 

und eine Freundin mir letztens ein gutes Buch empfohlen hat,

einen Kinderbuchklassiker von Frances Hodgson Burnett, den ich noch nicht kannte

und ich so begeistert davon war,

habe ich es einfach in eine neue Seite umgesetzt!

Belief in Magic

But since I'm known not to swing the friend of big words and great speeches,
there is rather something new from me to see.
since Mr. Art Journal is still my great love
and a friend gave me ultimately recommended a good book,
a classic children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, I did not know
and I was so excited about it,
I've just converted to a new page!

 

ich möchte euch jetzt nicht die ganze Geschichte nacherzählen

nur so viel, wer ein großer Natur- und Gartenfreund ist, sich den Glauben an das Gute auch noch in der heutigen Zeit bewahrt hat, wird das Buch, genau wie ich, mit wahrer Begeisterung lesen!!

 das geheime, verschlossene Gartentor, von Efeu umrangt

zu Beginn der Geschichte ist alles hoffnungslos, grau und düster

 

aber der Frühling erwacht und mit ihm, die Lebensfreude

 

die alten Rosenstöcke spielen eine wichtige Rolle, 

da ich kein großer Maler bin, habe ich meine alte Leidenschaft für die Serviettentechnik wieder         entdeckt

I want you now do not retell the whole story
only so much, who is a great nature and gardening enthusiast, has faith in the goodness still preserved at the present time, the book, as I read, with true enthusiasm !!

Nature Inspiration Wintertime

Hi crafty friends,

I'm back with a new Art journaling pages, really my new passion!!
today suitable to our weather with cool temperatures - Hibernation - Winterschlaf -
The nature extracts energy for it's wonders, but especially on sunny days you can see so many little nature miracle in forests or on meadows, beautiful inspirations, which are very good for the soul!!

 Supplies:

Distress inks - Ranger

Colour spray black

Stamps Kaisercraft, Flonzkraft, LaBlanche

dryed leaves and inflorescences

Pigment  Ink pad  Brilliance

 the gradient effects created with distress ink (Ranger) and water and salt resist technique 

(with liquid acrylic paint - my first experiment)

 i used dried and pressed leaves as mask with black colour spray

I'm very happy about my new DT - The Mirror crack'd -, so many very talented ladies and such  beautiful inspirations to my favourite theme Mixed Media!

 Welcome to our Sixth Challenge. We are really enjoying seeing all your fabulous works of art, and your creative imaginations.
For this, our second challenge of 2015, we would like you to create a mixed media Album cover or Journal cover – Any subject, but using multiple techniques and materials.

Supplies:

black + white Gesso

white stamp inkpad

spray ink white + brown

 faces and letters with Modeling clay (air drying) + black Gesso + silver patina

the letters are dancing, that's Art ;-)!
